Physics 6 Tutorial 17 - Interpreting Quantum Theory


In this tutorial, we will explore further the nature of quantum physics.  We will look at the double-slit experiment with particles which show wavelike properties.  We then will discuss contradictory results that resulted from close up observation, and different ways that were used to explain these away. 


We then go on to look at Schrödinger's famous thought experiment.  Then we discuss Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.  Then we look at Determinism in Physics, contrasting the deterministic nature of classical physics and the indeterministic nature of quantum physics.  Finally we look at Einstein's objections to indeterminism.
